Saturday, March 15- Irish Ceili 7:00 - 8:00

Irish Step Dancers (myself and 3 others) will perform, as will Bagpiper Michael Close of Worcester, and singers of Irish ballads. We will also teach everyone the Ceili dance, "The Rakes of Mallow". After that, from 8:00 - 9:30, it will be a regular Contra Dance.

Saturday, April 12- 5:00-6:00 Potluck Supper

6:00-7:00 Adam Boyce will give a program, "Sprightly Steps: Vermont's Contra and Square Dancing Tradition", followed by the Contra Dance 7:00-9:30. Adam (who is a fiddler and calls dances) gives this talk through the Vermont Humanities Council's Speakers Bureau! He was in Worcester for our Bicentennial year 4th of July with the Ed Larkin Contra Dancers.

Contra Dances at Doty School Gym, 2nd Saturday evenings, 7:00-9:30, beginning Nov. 10 and running through Mud Season. The Parsnips (traditional musicians) are excited to have a regular venue with community involvement, and the dances are good fundraisers for the WHS.
